Dubai: The government has urged residents to rely on verified information as misinformation and rumours continue to spread rapidly on social media.
Posts claiming things like “explosions in Dubai,” “severe shortages of goods,” or “life has come to a standstill” have been widely circulating online.
A closer look reveals that many of these posts originate from accounts outside the UAE—often hundreds or even thousands of kilometres away—underscoring how quickly misinformation can spread.
Authorities stressed the importance of “cutting through the noise” and focusing on verified facts. Residents have been urged to follow official channels for accurate updates and rely only on trusted sources.
For the latest verified information, the public is encouraged to follow the Government of Dubai Media Office on its official platforms.
