UAE authorities caution the public about fraudulent messages pretending to be from government officials.

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Ministry of Interior has alerted the public about scam messages impersonating the ministry, designed to extract personal information from recipients.
The ministry said these messages falsely accuse individuals of legal violations and demand urgent action under the threat of fines or legal consequences. Authorities emphasized that the messages are not connected to the ministry and form part of ongoing fraud attempts targeting residents.
The ministry urged residents not to respond to these messages, avoid sharing personal or financial details, and refrain from clicking on any suspicious links.
It also advised residents to rely exclusively on official channels for accurate updates, reinforcing efforts to combat cyber fraud and protect individuals from online scams.
