Dubai: The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has introduced “Basma 15,” a proactive government initiative designed to streamline identity services for students aged 15 and above by delivering essential procedures directly within schools.

As part of the programme, specialised teams visit schools to collect biometric data from eligible students, allowing them to complete identity registration efficiently without needing to visit service centres.

The initiative is designed to save time and effort for students and their families while ensuring prompt access to Emirates ID services.

The initiative forms part of the authority’s efforts to enhance access to government services and improve customer experience through more efficient, user-centric delivery.

It also supports the country’s digital transformation goals by facilitating electronic updates of population records and boosting the overall efficiency of government processes.
