Abdullah bin Zayed receives Greek Defence Minister for talks on strategic cooperation and regional developments

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Nikos Dendias, Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the repercussions of Iran’s unprovoked missile attacks targeting the UAE and several regional countries.

They also examined the impact of these attacks on regional security and peace, their serious implications for international navigation, and the threats they pose to global energy supplies and the wider world economy.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed underlined the significance of Minister Dendias’s visit, noting that it underscores the deep strategic ties between the UAE and Greece, and affirmed Greece’s unwavering support for the UAE following Iran’s unprovoked missile attacks.

The two ministers also explored avenues for cooperation and joint action under the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and Greece.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the deep-rooted strategic ties between the two countries, highlighting the ongoing growth and development across all sectors under the guidance and support of the leadership of both nations.

The meeting was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State.
