Rainy days ahead in the UAE as winds pick up and skies turn cloudy

Date:

Rain and strong winds forecast for the UAE in the coming days.

UAE Weather Update: Clouds and Showers Expected Across the Country

Dubai: The UAE will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies on Tuesday, with light to moderate rainfall possible across scattered areas, and heavier showers expected in some eastern and northern regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM explained that the unsettled conditions are due to the extension of a weak surface low-pressure system combined with an upper-air low, resulting in intermittent cloud cover and rainfall activity across the country.

Winds Forecast
Winds across the UAE are expected to be light to moderate, occasionally fresh, blowing from north-west to south-east at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, and reaching up to 40 km/h in some areas.

Sea Conditions
Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea waters will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in areas with increased cloud activity.

Temperature and Humidity Forecast
Temperatures across the UAE are expected to remain relatively mild for this time of year.

  • Abu Dhabi: Highs around 26°C, overnight lows near 21°C
  • Dubai: Highs of 25°C, overnight lows near 21°C
  • Sharjah: Highs around 24°C
  • Fujairah: Highs reaching 27°C
  • Al Ain (internal areas): Highs near 24°C

Humidity is forecast to reach up to 85% overnight in coastal areas, while inland regions are expected to experience lower humidity levels.

UAE Weather Outlook: Unstable Conditions Followed by Fair Skies

Wednesday: Weather across the UAE is expected to remain unstable, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and another chance of rainfall, which could be heavy at times over eastern and northern regions during the daytime. Temperatures may slightly decrease, particularly in western areas.

Winds will blow from the north-west, strengthening at sea with speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, reaching up to 45 km/h, potentially causing blowing dust and sand in exposed areas. Sea conditions are forecast to be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.

Thursday and Friday: Conditions are expected to improve, becoming fair to partly cloudy, with a rise in humidity during night and early morning hours. This may lead to mist or fog formation in some coastal and internal areas.

Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally fresh, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/h on Thursday and around 35 km/h on Friday.

Saturday Outlook: Weather across the UAE is expected to gradually improve, with fair to partly cloudy skies and a slight increase in temperatures. Winds will become lighter, and sea conditions are forecast to be generally slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
