Officials commend residents for their cooperation in minimizing damage and helping restore normal traffic conditions.

Ras Al Khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah Police’s operations room received and managed 20,939 calls during the recent weather depression that hit the UAE from March 20 to March 28, authorities reported.
Brigadier Ahmed Saeed Al Mansoori, Director General of Central Operations, said the police efficiently responded to all reports amid the heavy rains, flash floods, and overflowing wadis affecting multiple areas of the emirate.
He added that police operations prioritized public safety, protection of property, and keeping traffic flowing smoothly on major roads.
He added that close coordination with strategic partners and relevant authorities was key in minimising the weather’s impact and restoring normal traffic flow swiftly.
Brigadier Al Mansoori also lauded public awareness, noting that following official guidance from police and emergency teams helped limit potential losses and damage.
Describing the collective effort, he praised all involved entities as “a beehive operating around the clock.”
Authorities reminded the public to call 999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergency inquiries, ensuring cases are directed to the appropriate teams efficiently.
