UAE and Slovenian presidents meet to discuss regional developments and strengthen bilateral ties

Musar criticizes Iranian attacks aimed at the UAE and the region.

ABU DHABI: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call today from Dr. NataĊĦa Pirc Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia. During the call, President Musar condemned the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, including assaults on civilians, civilian infrastructure, and critical facilities. She noted that these attacks violate sovereignty and international law, while undermining regional security and stability.

President Musar reaffirmed Slovenia’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for the measures being taken to safeguard the country’s security, stability, and territorial integrity, ensuring the safety of its citizens and residents. She also praised the UAE’s management of the situation and the effectiveness of its measures in protecting the public and visitors.

The discussions focused on how the ongoing military escalation affects regional and global peace and security, alongside its significant consequences for the world economy.

Both leaders emphasized the need to contain the escalation and to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional issues, ensuring security and stability while preventing further crises.

The call also reviewed various areas of cooperation between the UAE and Slovenia, exploring opportunities to further strengthen ties. Both sides affirmed their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in support of the development goals of their nations and peoples.
