Abu Dhabi Airport Worker Wins Big Ticket, Initially Mistakes Call for Promotion

Date:

Palestinian expat initially nearly overlooked winning call.

Dubai: What began as a monthly habit has turned into a life-changing moment for 41-year-old Palestinian expatriate Mohammed Ashour, one of the latest winners of Big Ticket’s second weekly e-draw for March.

Ashour, a guest service agent at Zayed International Airport, has been purchasing Big Ticket entries regularly over the past four years, alongside his family.

Recounting the moment he learned he had won, Ashour revealed that he nearly missed the call.

“At first, I thought the call was a promotion, and I even ignored it because I was asleep. When I picked up the second time, it was such an incredible surprise,” he recalled.

Participating in Big Ticket, for Ashour, is as much about the shared thrill with family as it is about the prize.

Plans for the Prize

Ashour said he plans to cash in his winnings and confirmed that he will continue participating in future Big Ticket draws.

Meanwhile, Big Ticket continues to draw participants across the UAE with its latest promotion. This month’s campaign features a grand prize of Dh20 million, which will be awarded during the live draw on April 3.

Additionally, two weekly e-draws are still scheduled, with four winners in each receiving a 200-gram, 24-karat gold bar. Winners’ names will be announced on the official Big Ticket website.
