Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation Calls for Worker Safety and Remote Work During Unstable Weather.

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has urged private sector companies across the UAE to enhance workplace safety measures and implement preventive steps to protect employees during the forecasted adverse weather conditions.

The ministry emphasized that worker health and safety remain a top priority, particularly at outdoor worksites where operations can be challenging during severe weather. It highlighted that adherence to occupational health and safety standards is a shared responsibility, helping to ensure business continuity in a safe working environment.

Companies were advised to take all necessary precautions, implement remote or flexible working arrangements where appropriate, and ensure the availability of personal protective equipment, safe transportation, and suitable workplace conditions.

The ministry also commended businesses for fostering safe working environments and raising employee awareness about safety protocols during emergency weather conditions. It confirmed ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to circulate guidance and instructions aimed at protecting workers nationwide.

In addition, the ministry noted that awareness campaigns are being conducted in collaboration with government entities and the private sector to reinforce occupational health and safety standards, with enforcement measures in place for any violations.
