UAE President and Canadian Prime Minister hold talks on regional tensions

Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call today from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, during which they discussed the recent escalation in the region and its implications for regional security and stability.

During the conversation, the Canadian Prime Minister reaffirmed Canada’s solidarity with the UAE in the wake of the Iranian attacks on its territory and on several other countries in the region. He condemned the attacks, describing them as a blatant violation of state sovereignty and international law, and emphasized that such actions undermine both regional and international security and stability.

The UAE President appreciated Canada’s supportive stance, conveyed to him by Prime Minister Carney.

Sheikh Mohamed also emphasized the urgent need to halt escalatory actions and return to meaningful dialogue and diplomatic solutions to resolve the current crisis and safeguard regional security and stability.
