UAE–US trade rises 13% to reach $39 billion in 2025

US trade surplus expands to $23.8 billion as imports from America surge 16%.

Dubai: Trade between the United Arab Emirates and the United States recorded strong growth in 2025, reflecting deepening economic ties and rising demand across key sectors.

Data released by the United States Department of Commerce showed that total merchandise trade between the two countries reached $39.02 billion (Dh143.28 billion) in 2025, marking a 13.33 per cent increase from $34.43 billion (Dh126.43 billion) in 2024.

The figures showed that exports from the United Arab Emirates to the United States rose modestly to $7.606 billion (Dh27.93 billion), up 2 per cent from $7.411 billion (Dh27.21 billion) a year earlier.

Meanwhile, imports from the United States saw stronger growth, rising 16.22 per cent to $31.414 billion (Dh115.35 billion) compared with $27.028 billion (Dh99.25 billion) in 2024.

This pushed the US trade surplus with the United Arab Emirates higher, widening to $23.80 billion (Dh87.39 billion) in 2025 from $19.61 billion (Dh72.01 billion) the previous year.
