
“Rashid Villages” is a charitable initiative launched in 2025 by the Crown Prince to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the passing of his late brother, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
On Tuesday, February 24, Dubai’s Crown Prince formed a new committee to oversee support for underprivileged families, providing access to housing, education, healthcare, and social services to ensure the foundations of a dignified life.
“Rashid Villages” is a charitable initiative launched in 2025 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the passing of his late brother, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The initiative aims to uphold and continue his enduring humanitarian values.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, issued Decision No. (1) of 2026 to establish the Supervisory Committee of Rashid Villages, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The decision outlines that the committee will oversee the initiative, approve plans and projects, monitor implementation, coordinate between relevant entities, endorse reports, set necessary policies and regulatory frameworks, address challenges, and supervise governance, risk management, and the efficient use of resources.
