Students trained at ATP STEM Education achieve their best results to date
UAE-based students delivered an outstanding performance in JEE Main 2026 Session 1, with Jaishnu Sulakshan of IHS School achieving a 98.92 percentile — the highest among candidates trained at ATP STEM Education’s four centres across Dubai and Sharjah.
From a cohort of 45 students who completed the full JEE programme across the Bur Dubai, Al Nahda, Sharjah, and Ibn Battuta centres, 11 scored above the 95 percentile, and 21 surpassed the 90 percentile. With over one million candidates taking JEE Main annually, these results represent a remarkable achievement in a highly competitive ranking system.
What a JEE Main percentile means
JEE Main, conducted by India’s National Testing Agency, is the qualifying exam for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and serves as the screening stage for JEE Advanced — the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology.
A percentile score shows the percentage of candidates who scored at or below a given student. A 98.92 percentile means the student outperformed roughly 98.92% of all test-takers, placing them in the top 1.08% of over a million candidates. A 95 percentile corresponds to a ranking within the top 50,000 nationally.
The highest percentage success rate in the region
What sets ATP STEM Education apart is the remarkable consistency across its cohort. With 11 out of 45 students — nearly 25% of the batch — scoring above the 95 percentile, and 44% surpassing the 90 percentile, the institute achieves one of the highest percentage success rates among JEE coaching centres in the region.
This year’s results also reflect a clear upward trajectory:
- The number of students above the 95 percentile has more than doubled over the past two years.
- The count of students scoring above 90 percentile has grown from 9 to 20.
Preparation without relocation
Atinderpal Singh, founder of ATP STEM Education, said the results reflect a broader shift among Indian expatriate families. “Five years ago, families often felt serious competitive preparation required relocation to India. Today, there is growing confidence that students can prepare at the same rigorous level while remaining within the UAE schooling system.”
Faculty highlight a focus on conceptual understanding rather than pattern recognition as a key differentiator. With JEE questions increasingly application-oriented, students who grasp the reasoning behind concepts consistently outperform those relying on shortcuts. The institute serves CBSE and ICSE students from Grades 8 through 12, building a strong foundation well before the high-stakes exam years.
From IITs to Ivy League: A system built for every direction
While JEE remains the primary focus for many families, ATP STEM Education’s approach is designed to keep multiple pathways open. Students in the UAE today have access to a wide range of options — from India’s top engineering colleges like the Indian Institutes of Technology and NITs to prestigious universities in the United States.
The institute’s system supports whichever path a student chooses, whether it’s cracking JEE or building a profile for US college admissions. For students on the IB pathway, programmes are offered for MYP 3–5 and the IB Diploma Programme, providing structured guidance from middle years through university applications.
The IB programme has already produced top placements in highly selective US universities. Satvik Gupta, who achieved a full score in the IB Diploma Programme from GEMS Modern Academy, secured admission to Carnegie Mellon University. Saksham Uboweja, also from GEMS Modern Academy, earned admission to University of California, Berkeley.
