Emirates affirms its strategic plans will stay on course despite executive departure

Dubai: Emirates Group has announced that Michael Doersam, its Chief Financial and Group Services Officer, will step down from his position at the end of June 2026.

In a statement to Gulf News, Emirates Group said: “We can confirm that Michael Doersam, our Chief Financial and Group Services Officer, has announced his intention to step down at the end of June 2026 for family reasons.”

The company added that Doersam’s successor will be named in due course, emphasising that “the Emirates Group’s strategic direction and commitment to delivering value to our stakeholders remain unchanged.”

Doersam has been among the most senior executives at the Dubai-based aviation giant, steering the group’s financial strategy through a period of significant turbulence and recovery in the global aviation sector.
