UAE weekend alert: Humid and fair conditions ahead of stronger winds and cooler temperatures.

Date:

Cooler, dusty weather expected from Monday as northwesterly winds intensify.

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates is set to experience generally fair weather on Saturday, with occasional partly cloudy skies and rising humidity overnight, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Light to moderate south-easterly to north-easterly winds are forecast, ranging between 10 and 20 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 30 km/h in exposed areas. As humidity increases, mist could develop over some coastal areas late at night and into Sunday morning.

Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea. In the Arabian Gulf, the first high tide is forecast at 10:21 am, followed by the first low tide at 6:37 pm. In the Oman Sea, high tides are expected at 9:15 pm and 7:57 am, while low tides are predicted at 2:04 pm and 3:09 am.

On Saturday, daytime temperatures are expected to reach up to 32°C in Abu Dhabi, Liwa, and Al Sila, while Dubai will see highs of 30°C, and Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah are expected to reach 31°C.

Overnight lows will drop to 14–15°C in inland areas like Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah, whereas coastal districts will remain warmer, ranging between 19°C and 21°C. Humidity is forecast to peak at around 90% in some northern coastal regions.

On Sunday, conditions are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with humidity rising again overnight and a chance of mist forming over inland areas by Monday morning.

Winds will change direction from south-easterly to north-westerly, strengthening by evening and becoming occasionally strong over the sea, with speeds reaching up to 45 km/h, particularly offshore.

Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to worsen from slight to moderate, becoming rough to very rough at times overnight. The Oman Sea will also experience increased wave activity late at night.

Monday is expected to bring a more noticeable shift in weather. Skies will remain fair to partly cloudy, but dusty conditions may occur alongside a significant drop in temperatures.

North-westerly winds are set to strengthen during the day, particularly over the western sea areas, stirring up dust and sand across parts of the United Arab Emirates. Wind speeds are forecast between 10 and 25 km/h, with stronger gusts reaching up to 45 km/h.

Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf will be rough to very rough on Monday, before easing by Tuesday morning, while the Oman Sea will also experience rough seas before moderating.

By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to rise again, particularly in northern areas, under fair to partly cloudy skies. Overnight humidity will remain, with a chance of fog or mist in some inland and coastal districts by Wednesday morning.

Winds will turn north-westerly before gradually shifting back to south-easterly, occasionally strengthening to speeds of up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to ease, becoming slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
