The 15th edition of the Sharjah Light Festival is lighting up 13 landmarks across the emirate, transforming them into stunning artistic displays, and will run until February 15.

The Sharjah Light Festival has returned for its 15th edition, turning the emirate’s landmarks into dazzling works of art.
Organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, the festival features international artists who use light to create spectacular visual displays.
This year, the festival spans 13 locations across Sharjah, each featuring a unique theme and installation.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights:
Al Majaz Waterfront
At Al Majaz Waterfront, the “Pulse of Belonging” installation offers a shared experience for visitors. Beams of light stretch across the area, creating a vibrant meeting point and a perfect spot for photos.
Sharjah Fort
Sharjah Fort hosts “Call For A Wish”, an interactive video-mapping artwork. Visitors can whisper a wish to the “Wish Catcher”, which then transforms their message into a vibrant visual display on the fort’s facade.
Al Jada
At Al Jada, the “Threads of Memory” installation transforms the site into layered patterns of ornamentation, with light thoughtfully arranged to evoke warmth and a sense of familiarity.
House of Wisdom
The “Light Between Words” installation at the House of Wisdom features a 3D light projection that narrates a journey from silence to expression and from isolation to a sense of belonging.
The festival, drawing tens of thousands of visitors, runs until February 15. Meanwhile, the “Light Village” remains open until February 22, offering a range of interactive experiences for all ages.
